The reconstruction of Lithuania’s main gas pipeline’s Vilnius-Kaunas section has been successfully completed. As the general contractor, MT Group supplied the entire 16.9 km DN700 pipe, including all necessary fittings and technological equipment. Moreover, MT Group managed the welding of a 14.7 km section, conducted testing, and performed drying activities for the entire pipeline length, encompassing two valve stations.

This vital gas transmission artery in Lithuania covers nearly 17 kilometers of the main gas pipeline across the Kaunas and Kaišiadorys regions, with new sections integrated. Innovative corrosion rate sensors and a SCADA System enabling remote monitoring have been installed. The entire project was completed within a challenging less than 12-month timeline.

The project was undertaken on behalf of Amber Grid.
