MT Group is advancing the EPC scope for the carbon capture facility in Kalundborg, Denmark – an essential part of one of Europe’s leading CO₂ capture and storage initiatives. With a target of capturing 430,000 tons of CO₂ annually, this project is a bold step toward industrial decarbonization, and we are fully committed to delivering it with precision, speed, and purpose.
Following the winter break, our team has made significant strides on the Balance of Plant (BoP) systems:
- Piping systems are being installed across critical structures – including pipe bridges and the Cooling Water building – with prefabricated components integrated on schedule. Preparations for pressure testing are now underway.
- Key process equipment such as heat exchangers and pumps are being installed as part of the broader integration works.
- Structural works in the Reboiler building are progressing steadily, with preparations in place to skid a 23-ton, 13-meter-long reboiler into position – within extremely tight spatial constraints, demanding exceptional technical coordination.
MT Group’s full EPC responsibility includes engineering, procurement, and installation of BoP piping and equipment, enabling the seamless connection between the existing boiler plant and the new CO₂ capture systems.
We believe decarbonization is not a distant goal – it’s a mission we are delivering on today. This project represents our deep commitment to accelerating the energy transition and reducing industrial carbon emissions at scale.
