MT Group is making significant progress at the Zeebrugge Terminal for the Terminal’s Capacity Increase Project owned by Fluxys. Not only will this expansion increase the regasification capacity of one of Europe’s first LNG terminals, but it will also help to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and other pollutants. Go green!

The scope of works also includes the construction of 4 truck loading bays to be installed and fully integrated with the existing LNG infrastructure.

At the truck loading stations, the pipeline installation is nearing completion with 97-98% of the pipeline installed. Final equipment and specific metal structures are being assembled, including tanks, weighbridges for trucks, roofs, guardrails and platform grilles. Safety first, we’re also installing top-of-the-line safety features such as fire-fighting equipment with pipelines designed to extinguish both foam and water.

At The Terminal, MT Group has achieved significant progress with 70% of the pipeline installation complete across all zones. Our team has also completed the installation of other equipment, including vaporizers, seawater pumps, water pumps, water filters. The remaining installation works will be completed in the coming weeks.

Metal structure installation works for the Terminal’s service areas, platforms, and pipeline supports are progressing towards completion, with approximately 195 tons of metal structures assembled.

There are two planned shutdown periods in May and June when the terminal will be disconnected, allowing us to tie into the existing pipeline network.
