MT Group, a leading European energy infrastructure development company, has implemented a certified anti-corruption management system in compliance with ISO 37001. While this standard is commonly used in industries related to defense projects, its adoption in the construction sector remains rare.

“This ambitious international certification reinforces MT Group’s commitment to transparency and the highest anti-corruption management practices. It significantly strengthens our competitive position in delivering high-profile projects in Lithuania and, more importantly, on an international scale, where anti-corruption compliance is among the top priorities,” says Kristina Norvaišienė, MT Group’s Executive Director.

A Global Tool for Strengthening Competitive Position

In modern and progressive organizations, the need for anti-corruption procedures is no longer questioned. Prevention and control measures are increasingly prioritized in the requirements of major international procurements. This trend is particularly evident in Scandinavian markets, where clients place strong emphasis on anti-corruption compliance.

Kristina Norvaišienė highlights that the certification enables MT Group to participate in high-priority tenders in strategic sectors such as energy infrastructure and defense. This step not only expands business opportunities but also strengthens transparency across the industry.

Three-Year Certification with Strict External Audit Oversight

MT Group’s anti-corruption management system, aligned with ISO 37001, establishes clear policies and control measures to ensure transparency. „We are committed to upholding our anti-corruption policy, regularly assessing corruption risks, providing employee training, and conducting due diligence on suppliers and clients. Our goal is continuous improvement by setting targets and monitoring their achievement to maintain the highest level of integrity and compliance,” explains Kristina Norvaišienė.

The certification process required several months of intensive preparation and was completed in two audit phases by TÜV Uolektis, the Lithuanian division of TÜV Thüringen. Over the three-year certification period, MT Group will undergo annual external audits and conduct regular internal audits to ensure full compliance.
