MT Group has signed a new EPC contract of EUR 3,9 million with Amber Grid, the Lithuanian gas transmission system operator. This strategic collaboration will focus on the modernization of Lithuania’s gas infrastructure, including the replacement of valves at high pressure valve stations and the deployment of a real time remote control (SCADA system) in six municipalities across the country.
“We value the continued trust of Amber Grid in delivering strategic energy projects. MT Group remains committed to the highest standards of quality and to building smarter, safer, and more efficient energy infrastructure for Lithuania,” – Kristina Norvaišienė, Executive Director at MT Group.
As part of this 19-month contract, MT Group will be responsible for the full scope of the first project phase: preparing technical solutions, basic and detail design, permitting, equipment supply, reconstruction, testing and commissioning works.
In parallel, MT Group is also progressing with two ongoing projects for Amber Grid:
- Reconstruction of the Elektrėnai gas distribution station, upgrading key gas pressure reduction, metering, and control systems to ensure reliability of supply and enhance energy security.
- Maintenance and repair of Lithuania’s trunk gas pipelines, ensuring safe and reliable gas transmission through ongoing infrastructure monitoring, fault response, and modernization.
